This 51430 ha conservation area is home to a great variety of wildlife including the African wildcat, aardwolf, leopard, giraffe and many more. Bird watching enthusiasts are likely to spot the red-eyed bulbul, red-headed finch, golden-tailed woodpecker, dusky sunbird and Karoo scrub robin. This conservationist’s paradise is home to the quiver tree (kokerboom), camelthorn, sweet thorn tree and 70 species of grass.

Attractions and activities include game drives, mountain bike trails, the klipspringer hiking trail, the dassie nature trail and 4x4 routes. Facilities include picnic spots, ablution and braai facilities, a swimming pool, shops, the sophisticated Shibula Restaurant and professional conference facilities. This park is both child and wheelchair friendly.
